DAY ONE: Anchorage to Seward and Kenai Fjords
Depart Anchorage early and drive the scenic Seward Highway to Seward, stopping at Beluga Point and Exit Glacier for short hikes. In the afternoon, enjoy a Kenai Fjords National Park wildlife and glacier cruise departing from Seward, offering breathtaking views of tidewater glaciers and abundant marine life. Spend the night in a comfortable hotel or lodge in Seward or nearby Miller’s Landing.

DAY TWO: Seward to the Kenai/Soldotna Area
Travel to the Kenai/Soldotna area. Along the way, stop and take the moderately strenuous, but must-do hike to Russian River Falls, famous for its stunning waterfalls and salmon runs during the season. Explore nearby Kenai National Wildlife Refuge trails and watch for local wildlife. Stay overnight at a cozy lodge or hotel in Soldotna or Kenai.

Stop and spend the day in Soldotna or Kenai. Play a leisurely round of golf, take a flightseeing trip, rent a canoe or kayak for a serene paddle on a public lake, take a refreshing hike or a casual stroll on a variety of local trails, rent a bike and cycle around town, catch a rodeo or little league game, or simply, be inspired by the many galleries, gift shops, museums, and local festivals in town. If it is Wednesday, be sure to stop by the Wednesday Market in Soldotna.

DAY THREE: Kenai/Soldotna to Homer and Kachemak Bay
Drive southwest to Homer, known as Alaska’s halibut fishing capital. Book a half- or full-day fishing charter to experience world-class saltwater fishing for halibut and salmon. After your fishing trip, explore the Homer Spit and enjoy local dining options. Overnight accommodations are available at waterfront hotels or lodges in Homer.

On your return drive to Anchorage along the Sterling Highway, stop in Ninilchik for some lunch and a bit of beachcoming. As you head out of town towards Anchorage, be sure to visit the russian orthodox church. Arrive back in Anchorage by evening, concluding your memorable Kenai Peninsula adventure.
